Required Documents
To rent a vehicle from Mangalore Airport Self Drive Cars, the following original documents must be submitted:
- A valid Driving License issued by any Indian state.
- PAN Card.
- A blank cheque.
- Aadhar Card, Voter ID, College ID, or Original Passport.
These documents will be validated by our team to verify the identity and eligibility of the user.
Age Requirements
- Minimum Age of 21 for standard vehicles.
- Minimum Age of 23 for luxury vehicles.
- Minimum Age of 18 for bikes and scooters.
Cancellation Policy
All reservations made within 72 hours of the rental period are non-refundable. Confirmed reservations for specialty or luxury vehicles are non-refundable.

Early Returns Policy
Early returns are allowed, but the reservation will not be prorated, and no credit for unused time will be provided.
Rental Extension / Late Return Policy
Extensions cannot be guaranteed and are subject to availability. Requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to the original return time, and any approved extension will be charged at the current rates. Discounted rates for the original booking period cannot be applied to extensions.
Booking Confirmation
By completing a booking and processing the payment, the user agrees to the latest terms and conditions outlined by Mangalore Airport Self Drive Cars.
Prohibited Items
Users are prohibited from carrying the following items:
- Weapons or sharp/inflammable objects.
- Any item declared illegal by the Indian Penal Code.
- Items that compromise the safety, stability, or performance of the vehicle.
We reserve the right to refuse a booking if prohibited items are found in the vehicle.
Vehicle Collection & Inspection
Users can collect their pre-booked vehicle after completing identity verification and paperwork. It is the user’s responsibility to inspect the vehicle before taking possession and report any damages or malfunctions immediately. The rental period starts from the moment the user receives the vehicle keys.
Return Condition
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was received. If the vehicle is returned soiled or damaged, cleaning charges or penalties will apply.
Safety Measures
- All passengers must wear seat belts or helmets.
- The number of passengers should not exceed the vehicle’s seating capacity.
- Failure to comply may result in fines or blocking of the user from future bookings.
Fuel Policy
The vehicle will be provided with a sufficient amount of fuel to reach the nearest fuel pump. The renter is responsible for refueling during the rental period.
Liability for Accidents & Security
- Mangalore Airport Self Drive Cars is not liable for accidents or injuries due to personal negligence. An FIR/NOC will be required from the customer in case of an accident.
- The driver’s original license will be held for documentation purposes.
Penalties for Violations
- Overspeeding: Fines begin at ₹500 and increase with each subsequent violation. Users may be banned after multiple overspeeding violations.
- Drunk Driving: A ₹1,000 fine will be imposed, and the user will be liable for damage costs.
- Smoking in Vehicle: A fine of ₹1,000 will be charged.
- Clutch Plate Damage: ₹9,999 penalty.
- Unauthorized Drop Location: A ₹1,500 fine will be charged for not returning the vehicle to the specified location.
Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed in our vehicles. A ₹500 fine will be charged for violations.
Damage and Loss
- The lessee is responsible for any damage, theft, or loss of parts of the vehicle during the rental period.
- Damage charges apply based on the severity, with a maximum liability of ₹15,000 for bikes and ₹40,000 for cars.
Cap on Kilometers
The daily kilometer limit for:
- Cars: 250 km per day (excess charged at ₹7/km).
- Bigger cars: 250 km per day (excess charged at ₹9/km).
- Bikes: 250 km per day (excess charged at ₹5/km).
- Scooters: 180 km per day (excess charged at ₹4/km).
Deposit and Helmet Charges
- A refundable security deposit is required for certain vehicles.
- Helmets will be charged at ₹50 per day. Damaged helmets will incur a charge of ₹900.
